Ted
Hanss is the Director of Applications Development for Internet2,
a project under the direction of the University Corporation for
Advanced Internet Development (UCAID). The focus of the Internet2
project is to develop communications technologies that will support
the evolving demands of higher education. Ted coordinates the creation
and deployment of the next generation of network-based applications
that will support and enhance the core activities of research and
education.
Ted is on loan from the University of Michigan, where he has served for several years as a senior manager in the University of Michigan's Information Technology Division. Among other responsibilities, he was Director of the Center for Information Technology Integration, a computer science research and development lab that focuses on distributed systems. Ted has a BS in Biology from Boston College, and an MBA from the University of Michigan. To learn more about the Internet2 project, please visit the website at www.internet2.edu.
