eInstruction Launches Workspace-ExamView Edition

Ed tech developer eInstruction has released Workspace-ExamView Edition, a new version of the Workspace digital classroom suite that couples ExamView's assessment tools with interactive classroom technologies, such as clickers and whiteboards.
ExamView is an assessment suite that includes tools for creating and administering tests and analyzing results. It includes a style gallery, support for paper- or computer-based tests, and various management tools. Workspace is an assessment solution designed to integrate tests with Interwrite's student response systems, otherwise known as classroom clickers.
Interwrite was acquired by eInstruction earlier this year. Workspace-ExamView Edition, the first package released since the merger, is also the first tool that brings ExamView content to classroom response systems, whiteboards, and pads.
Some features include:
- Compatibility with CPS and PRS classroom clickers;
- Support for Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel;
- Handwriting recognition with automatic lookup in 86 languages; and
- New gallery features for dragging and dropping assets, adding files to categories, and creating new categories;
Workspace-ExamView Edition is available now for $249 and is also included free with Interwrite's interactive whiteboards and pads.

Recorded Response allows emergency managers to notify their target recipients of events as well as collect responses in their recorded voices in addition to traditional response options. This feature now allows the collection of more exact and situation-specific detail.
- Northern New Mexico College Moves to Latest AVG Anti-Virus
Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) has gone public with its use of AVG Anti-Virus software. The college, which has 3,200 students and 200 staff and faculty on two campuses, runs a network with about 700 workstations and 13 servers.
