Quinnipiac U To Automate Paper Processes

Quinnipiac University in Connecticut said it plans to cut costs by automating manual paper processes. The university will be deploying ImageNow from Perceptive Software, an enterprise suite for document management, imaging, and workflow.Said Janice Wachtarz, associate vice president of university applications at Quinnipiac, "We explored other document imaging solutions, but Perceptive Software's partnership with Datatel along with its usability made it the natural choice for us. Quinnipiac will realize cost savings throughout our university-wide deployment of ImageNow because of its methodology."
ImageNow is designed to capture documents from a variety of input devices, including scanners, faxes, mail servers, and Office applications, and organize them and make them available within third-party applications. It includes support for stuctured and unstructured forms, contextualization of documents through metadata at the time of capture, Web access to documents, data extraction and recognition, and various other features.
The university will first deploy ImageNow in its financial aid office and will be integrated with its Datatel Colleague solution.
Quinnipiac University is a private institution serving 5,400 FTE undergrads and 2,000 graduate students.
