Central Connecticut Contracts Oce To Scan Student Data

6/28/2007

Central Connecticut State University recently contracted Oce Business services to provide the university with archival scanning technology to help preserve student information.

"This initiative with Oce Business Services supports CCSU's vision to enhance our ability to retrieve information, free up storage space, and better manage the lifecycle of our documents," said Susan Petrosino, registrar for the Central Connecticut State University.

The scanning project, scheduled for completion this fall, will convert around 2.5 million pages of hard copy into digital format backed by CD and microfilm, according to Oce.

Central Connecticut State University is a public university with 12,000 students currently enrolled.
